How much am I expected to pay as registration fees in 2026?

The minimum registration fees applicable in 2026 are as follows:

i. Local students registering for tuition only: R7,300

ii. Local students registering for both tuition and residence: R14,100

iii. International students (including SADC region) are required to pay 100% of the total tuition and residence fees for 2026. Please also see the International fees booklet,accessible via the Student Portal on the University website (https://ukzn.ac.za/student-portal/) for guidance.
